Become a Learning Super-Freak (and Future-Proof Your Career)
“I’m a chemical super-freak actually.”
—Stanley Goodspeed (in the movie, The Rock)
I like to think of myself a little differently:
I’m a learning super-freak.
If you're reading this, you might be too—or want to be.
Over the past three years, I’ve torn through:
- Dozens of courses and certifications
- Workshops, books, and webinars
- Thousands of hours of podcasts and videos
- And stacked skill after skill in bursts—focused, fast, and relentless
Why?
Because in a world moving at AI speed, traditional education can’t keep up.
A degree is a snapshot.
Learning super-freaks? We run live updates.
What Is a Learning Super-Freak?
A learning super-freak isn’t just curious—they’re obsessed (in a good way). They:
- Hunt down skills with intention
- Apply knowledge right away
- Build DIY learning plans on the fly
- Learn in sprints, loops, and layers
- Make education a permanent lifestyle
It’s not a phase. It’s an operating system.
Why Go Super-Freak?
Because the rules have changed.
AI, automation, economic upheaval—none of it is slowing down. That MBA curriculum you paid $200K for? Outdated by the time you finish.
The new advantage?
Becoming your own university.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Simple answer: anyone who wants to win.
Real answer: if your field is shifting, evolving, or getting disrupted—this is for you.
That includes:
- Corporate climbers
- Entrepreneurs
- Contractors and consultants
- Freelancers and creatives
- Tradespeople using digital tools
- Anyone tired of being replaceable
If you’re breathing in this economy—you’re in the game.
When and Where?
Right now. Anywhere.
I study on lunch breaks, hotel beds, flights, sidewalks, commutes—wherever and whenever I can.
You don’t need a classroom.
You need a phone, a brain, and a reason.
Tools of the Super-Freak Trade
Use what’s already in your pocket:
- YouTube for walkthroughs
- LinkedIn Learning for pro skills
- Udemy, Coursera, Kajabi for deep dives
- Podcasts while walking
- Kindle for portable books
- PDFs and templates for on-the-job hacks
Don’t wait for permission.
Self-educate like it’s your job—because it is.
My Personal Framework (It Works)
1. Pick a Target
Choose one area you need to grow in—sales, strategy, communication, AI. Go all in.
2. Build a Micro-Curriculum
Combine a course, a couple books, 2–3 podcasts, and 1–2 live sources (group/forum/coaching). Two-week sprints are powerful.
3. Learn in Layers
Start broad. Add depth. Get messy. Refine.
4. Apply Immediately
If you don’t use it, you lose it. Create something. Teach it. Try it. Ship it.
5. Reflect and Iterate
Ask what worked, what didn’t, and what’s next.
Repeat forever. That’s the model.
Benefits? Massive.
- Confidence – You’re never behind because you can always catch up
- Career Growth – Fast learners become fast earners
- Job Security – You’re never replaceable when you’re adaptable
- Progress Addiction – Success becomes a loop
- Long-Term Identity – You’re not your title—you’re a powerhouse of skills
The Next 30 Days Could Change Everything
Here’s your challenge:
- Choose one skill you need or want
- Build a short curriculum
- Block 30 minutes a day
- Apply what you learn in real life
- Track your wins
- Repeat next month
Do this once, you’ll feel momentum.
Do it 6 times, you’ll be unrecognizable—in the best way.
Final Thought: Be a Little Obsessed
Normal says:
- “I don’t have time.”
- “I already went to school.”
- “I’ll learn when I have to.”
Super-freaks say:
- “I make time.”
- “I’ll never stop learning.”
- “I’ll learn before I need it.”
Normal is fragile.
Super-freak is bulletproof.
SIDE NOTE: This isn’t a flex—just facts.
In the past three years, I’ve completed:
- 80+ corporate training courses
- 36+ micro-certifications
- 12+ full certifications
- Dozens of books
- Thousands of podcast/video hours
All layered, stacked, and applied immediately.
It’s not just what I do.
It’s why I keep winning.
Stay tuned—I’ll share some of my best learning hacks soon.
Until then, get curious. Get focused.
Get obsessed.
